About the role
We are a small, busy Italian restaurant with a close-knit team. As with any small business, everyone helps where needed. We are looking for someone who is happy to get stuck in and support the team, rather than seeing their role as limited to waiting tables.
Because we are a small business, flexibility and teamwork are important. At busy times, everyone helps where they can to keep the restaurant running smoothly.

Essential requirements
Applicants must:
- Be available for Friday and Saturday evening shifts and Sunday shifts.
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment.
- Communicate clearly and confidently with guests and colleagues in spoken English.
- Be friendly, professional and confident with customers.
- Be reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a small team.
- Be willing to help with different tasks as required during a shift.
Previous experience in an Italian restaurant or a similarly busy restaurant environment is strongly preferred. Please do not apply if you are regularly unavailable on Friday or Saturday evenings or on Sundays.

What you’ll do
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, efficient table service.
- Take food and drink orders accurately.
- Learn the menu and answer customer questions.
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen and other members of the team.
- Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally.
- Clear, clean and reset tables.
- Help keep the restaurant clean, tidy and ready for service.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Follow food hygiene and allergen procedures.
- Help colleagues where needed during busy services.
- Remain productive during quieter periods—there is always something that can be done.

Hours & availability
This role includes evening and weekend work. Availability for Friday and Saturday evening shifts and Sunday shifts is essential.
Required availability does not guarantee work or a minimum number of hours. Shifts will be offered according to the restaurant rota and business requirements.
